Saks Global is looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Merchandising team. The role will focus on application support allowing you to learn merchandising applications, business flows and processes that are critical to support these applications. Also, your role will include defining, developing and implementing changes to the existing applications with a focus on increasing business functionality, stabilizing operations and reducing ongoing issues.
● Drive the highest levels of customer service and stability
● Monitor the environment to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues
● Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting service levels
● Configure alerts on the system to identify issues before they cause system outages.
● Foster technical and procedural excellence within the IT department for Merchandising systems and processes
● Coordinate with other IT departments to facilitate requirements, objectives, and manage Incidents
● Participate in after-hours escalations and maintenance as needed
● Partner with IT management and internal customers to communicate and implement necessary changes to keep the environments current, stable, and secure
Who you are
● A minimum of 3-8 years of total experience
● Strong oral and written communication skills
● Strong work ethic; someone capable of taking ownership of a task and seeing it through to completion
● Comfortable working in a dynamic and flexible environment with changing priorities.
● Be available as necessary to work after hours to support project goals and timelines including on weekends on need basis.
● Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented Concepts and a solid understanding of Relational Databases (Oracle preferred)
● Excellent knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Shell Scripting
● Retail domain knowledge will be an added advantage
● Pro*c knowledge will be an added advantage
● Nice to have Java/.net experience
