Day In The Life:

The Strategic Account Executive role is responsible for the success of The Bay’s existing and growing vendor community by developing trusted relationships within accounts, creating new opportunities within the portfolio of The Bay’s Marketing Services and products, and driving strategic growth.

We are looking for a collaborative, strategic, analytical and driven Account Executive to build and grow existing partnerships while driving revenue growth across a set of vendors in a key business vertical.

As the internal advocate for our retail vendors, the Strategic Account Executive will be comfortable cross-collaborating with internal Marketing teams, to ensure they are delivering the best strategy and building the right campaigns to align the goals of both the corporate team and clients alike. The right candidate is also responsible for overseeing the end-to-end executions of corporate campaigns, properly troubleshoot any issues, and secure placements.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage and grow a select list of vendor accounts as a strategic thought starter across categories including Beauty, Fashion or Home
  • Establish relationships with internal stakeholders such as key merchants to mutually manage vendor accounts and work cross- functionally to find new opportunities to grow the business 
  • Experience and comfortable with SVP/VP/C-Suite exec communication and interactions
  • Tightly manage and monitor progression towards target goals, and maintain an accurate forecast progression while steadfastly overseeing risks and seizing opportunities Build solutions to drive strategic and positive outcomes for our vendor partners based on individual goals
  • Work with key product teams (media, insights, analytics, creative, loyalty) to develop bespoke solutions for vendor partners 
  • Partner with integrated marketing, brand marketing, and paid media to build cohesive go-to-market approach that will align with both corporate priorities and vendor priorities
  • Brief and oversee key campaigns in partnership with integrated marketing and brand marketing to ensure strong creative development and media execution 
  • Be the voice and champion of the customer to the product team and other cross functional organizations, and vice versa to our vendors

What You Will Need:

  • College or University diploma in Marketing or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ B2B sales experience 
  • Full understanding of retail media and media solutions
  • Experience in advertising & media planning. Experience in retail media is an asset.
  • Experience managing complex relationships with significant impact growing 
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and data analytics platforms is an asset
  • Experience in using trends, past performance metrics, and insights to develop effective narratives to present solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Business writing and presentation development
  • Client facing client management and meeting planning experience
