What This Position Is All About:

 

As a Technical Analyst for HBC’s store technology team, you will be responsible for designing, creating, prototyping, implementing, and supporting store technology that enhance store operations and customer experiences. Work will focus on retail store applications related to point of sale (mobile and traditional), gift registry, loyalty, CRM, and emerging technologies. We’re looking for a collaborative, structured thinker, who is technically strong and comfortable integrating both in-house or 3rd party solutions into a tech stack (including cloud applications) that is transforming for the future. Who You Are:

  •     5-7 years experience in a technical environment
  •     Experience with POS and mobile applications, including ecommerce, loyalty, crm and payment systems
  •     Working experience with API integrations
  •     Knowledge of JSON, C#, XML, Javascript programming languages
  •     Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  •     Ability to integrate with various technologies and systems
  •     Ability to operate in a fast and dynamic organization where change is constant
  •     Understanding of the latest technology trends and strategies
  •     Understanding of SDLC (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) and PMLC
  •     Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or computer engineering

 

As The Technical Analyst You Will:

 

  • Solve complex problems with simplistic, scalable approaches – illustrating solutions with diagrams, visual mockups, and proof of concepts (POCs).
  • Assist in defining and implementing new products and functionality enhancements
  • Design of application programming interfaces (APIs)
  • Act as a subject matter expert (owner) on assigned projects and take technical solutions from concept to approvals, to deployments and support
  • Ensure all work is focused on providing stable & secure systems, strong troubleshooting skills and able to work towards
  • Personal agility in order to operate across a matrixed organizational structure across regional offices. Comfortable with rapidly changing priorities and/or requirements. Comfortable in the ‘grey’.
  • Collaborate with technical teams (architects, developers, network engineers, etc.) to ensure successful execution of business/user requirements
