Analyst, Import Operations

Role Summary

The Canadian Imports Analyst role is a full time role which ensure compliance with import laws and regulations by staying updated on changes in customs requirements and assisting with customs clearance procedures. This position monitors and maintains import documentation and work closely with freight forwarder, buyers and vendors.

Responsibilities

·       Tracking the shipment’s arrival on regular basis and coordinating with freight forwarder for documents that are required for customs clearance purposes.

·       Supporting the Import Customs Manager with tasks related to financial month end closing and assisting in the customs release auditing and accounting activities for imports.

·       Coordinating with vendor and buyers for discrepancies between PO and Commercial Invoice.  

·       Correcting discrepancies in price, quantity, style, and SKU of the product and ensuring the documents are accurate for customs clearance.

·       Verifying and sending the customs cleared invoices for the Finance team for payment processing and maintaining the accounting report.

·       Preparation of shipment report, costing report and accounting report a regular basis.

·       Should have good knowledge of Supply chain management.

·       Should have basic knowledge in Retail.

·       Should be able to multi task.

·       Should be a quick learner.

·       Should have good knowledge of how Import operations and Customs clearance works.
